Welcome back to 352 FPL, the free FPL newsletter to cut through the noise each GW with 3 standout picks, 5 differentials, and 2 captain choices delivered directly to your inbox before the deadline.
Last GW, 7/10 of our picks returned. Here’s to another great GW!
P.S. we’ve added a Last GW in a Meme section at the end.
3 Standout Picks
1 standout player in each position for this GW:
GK: Ederson 🔹
Expected Points: 4.1
Next Fixture: Leicester (H)
With rumours about Kepa losing his spot and City’s incredible fixture run, it might be a wise decision to lock in Ederson for the rest of the season. A sure route to City’s defence and you won’t have to worry about Pep’s roulette.
Mid: Salah 🔴
Expected Points: 6.5
Next Fixture: Leeds (A)
In his last 5 matches against Leeds, Salah has scored 7 times and assisted 1. We think it’s time to bring back the FPL King, especially for those with no FH32. Worth mentioning that KDB had higher expected points this GW but given the other incredible City options that are much cheaper (more on this below), Salah is a better pick.
Fwd: Haaland 🤖🔹(who else)
Expected Points: 9.0
Next Fixture: Leicester (H)
If you did not transfer in Haaland last week, your rank likely plummeted. Do not make the same mistake again, especially since Haaland is playing a very weak Leicester at home. 74% chance of scoring!
5 Differentials
Our #1 differential from last week, Grealish, initially held this spot again but before publishing this his ownership increased to 10.2%, just over what we consider a differential. Nevertheless, highly recommend transferring in Grealish especially for those with Maddison and FH32.
1. Mahrez🔹
Ownership: 4.7%
Expected Points: 6.5
Next Fixture: Leicester (H)
Rested midweek and expected to start against his former club, Mahrez could be an explosive differential this week. 56% chance of not blanking.
2. Martial 😈
Ownership: 1.1%
Expected Points: 4.6
Next Fixture: Nottingham Forest (A)
Played incredibly well midweek and was taken off early. Expected to start this weekend and will be United’s main man upfront. Only 1.1% owned and £6.3m, could be a huge differential and budget enabler.
3. Isak ⚫️⚪️
Ownership: 6.3%
Expected Points: 5.4
Next Fixture: Aston Villa (A)
Isak seems to be returning consistently and is part of a Newcastle team chasing Top 4. Surprisingly he’s still <10% owned. 36% chance of scoring this weekend.
4. Gakpo 🔴
Ownership: 3.4%
Expected Points: 5.0
Next Fixture: Leeds (A)
A great differential for those not Free Hitting in GW32. Leeds have been terrible defensively (Palace scored 5 against them last week) and Liverpool looking much better.
5. Aké 🔹
Ownership: 4.5%
Expected Points: 5.0
Next Fixture: Leicester (H)
Another decent route to City’s defence. Priced at only £5.1m and expected to start this week.
2 Captain Options 🧢
Playing it Safe: Haaland 🤖🔹
Surprise! But seriously, you cannot go wrong captaining Haaland again. Highest expected points this week (again) and expected ownership through the roof. If you’re leading your mini-leagues or want to play it safe, Haaland is almost always the way to go.
Chasing Rank: Salah 🔴
With only 8 GWs left this season, it might be time to throw caution to the wind if you’re chasing rank or falling behind in your mini-leagues. I never thought I’d be writing about Salah as a differential captain pick but here we are. Salah could be explosive against Leeds and might be the perfect differential captain.
