3 Standout Picks

1 standout player in each position for this DGW:

Def: Trent 🔴

Expected Points: 11.5

Double GW Fixtures: Spurs (H), Fulham (H)

Since Trent started playing in his inverted role, he’s in the top 3 for expected assists. With 2 home games in the double and great fixtures for the remaining 4 GWs, Trent is a set and forget. Expected to score 11.5 points this GW, higher than any other defender!

Mid: Rashford 😈

Expected Points: 12.1

Double GW Fixtures: Aston Villa (H), Brighton (A)

Rashford has a 65% chance of scoring this DGW and is expected to get 12.1 points. Will definitely start both games and has a chance of playing down the middle again. Another player you want to hold for the rest of the season, great fixtures and another double in 37.

Fwd: Jota 🔴

Expected Points: 11.2

Double GW Fixtures: Spurs (H), Fulham (H)

Given Haaland’s ownership, we assume everyone engaged in FPL owns him, if not please do not read further and go buy Haaland.

Jota is both a differential and a standout forward pick this week. 68% chance of scoring and 2 great home fixtures. Expect Jota to have a slight risk of getting subbed early this DGW but he should start both and have plenty of opportunities.

5 Differentials

1. Bruno 😈

Ownership: 7.2%

Expected Points: 10.1

Double GW Fixtures: Aston Villa (H), Brighton (A)

Admittedly, Bruno’s wife tricked us last week by posting a pic of him in a cast despite him being fit to play against Spurs.

Bruno playing in an attacking role again means he will get into far better positions to score and assist. 51% chance of scoring and a 44% chance of assisting this DGW, expect to see returns. Cannot believe he is owned by only 7.2% of teams.

2. Gakpo 🔴

Ownership: 6.0%

Expected Points: 11.9

Double GW Fixtures: Spurs (H), Fulham (H)

A lot of Liverpool players mentioned today, definitely worth considering a triple-up (Trent + Salah + Gakpo/Jota/Robertson).

Gakpo is expected to score a massive 11.9 points this DGW, the second highest Liverpool player (Salah is expected to score a massive 14.7 points). 63% chance of scoring and 41% chance of assisting.

3. Dias 🔹

Ownership: 7.4%

Expected Points: 9.4

Double GW Fixtures: Fulham (A), West Ham (H)

Might be the most secure Man City defender. With 2 relatively simple fixtures for City, we could see a double clean sheet. Given how close the title race still is, Pep might not rotate as much (then again, you never know with Pep).

4. Mac Allister 🔵⚪️

Ownership: 7.1%

Expected Points: 9.8

Double GW Fixtures: Wolves (H), Man Utd (H)

Brighton have 3 doubles left this season, definitely worth investing in 2-3 of their players.

Mac Allister looks to be back in his attacking role playing behind the striker. 54% chance of scoring this DGW and a fantastic budget pick at only £5.5m.

5. Mahrez 🔹 (here we go again, Pep roulette)

Ownership: 4.4%

Expected Points: 11.7

Double GW Fixtures: Fulham (A), West Ham (H)

Mahrez did not start against Arsenal which makes us fairly confident he will start against Fulham this weekend. City are destroying every team they play (sorry Arsenal fans, Wednesday was a massacre) and we expect nothing else this DGW.

With a 57% chance of scoring and a 41% chance of assisting, Mahrez could be an explosive differential. Given the opposition, expect Mahrez to start at least 1 game this DGW if not both.

2 Captain Options 🧢

Playing it Safe: Haaland 🔹 🤖

Do we really need to explain this one?

17.4 expected points.

89% chance of scoring.

If you (somehow) still have your Triple Captain Chip, now is the time to use it.

Chasing Rank: Salah 🔴

Honestly, it feels wrong to captain anyone but Haaland this week so proceed with extreme caution ⚠️.

With that being said, if there is anyone else to consider it’s Mo Salah. With 14.7 expected points and a 74% chance of scoring, Salah is a must own and you might want to consider giving him the armband if you have nothing to lose. Could be huge upside.

Jose’s reaction to GW33

Good luck in DGW34, may the rank swings be in your favour!
